Bonggaya At Dusk

After a couple of year in Bonggaya Forest, transformation of its landscape seems to happens quite fast. From jungle occupied by wild animal to oil palm where people carry out daily routine at fast pace. I see some jungle animals adapting to the new environment and no more scared of human. Squirrel, macac, and wild boar some time dash across the road while inspecting the fields.

The view in oil palm plantation is quite fascinating especially at dawn or at dusk like portrayed above. Most planters does not miss both best time of the day since they start their day before dawn and end after dusk.

Pritchardia pacifica in Beluran District SFD Office

Today I visited the Sabah Forestry Department in Beluran District. Though the Office is far from town but the landscaping looks great. Pritchardia pacifica has become a focus today since it bear hundreds of fruits with striking color. I'd like to share what I see here today.

WORLD'S HIGHEST VIA FERRATA

By the biggest pineapple in the world.

Mount Kinabalu viewed at Bundu Tuhan vegetable stalls.

Sun ray through clouds.

Kenari car on the Highest Via Ferrata.

Our beautiful terrain.

Sabah is the most beautiful state in Malaysia. It has a the world's highest via ferrata. Almost every weekend I'll come to Bundu Tuhan junction (near the place where I took these pictures) to buy vegetables. The temperature is around 14 degree Celsius in the evening. Perhaps, that is why the vegetables always fresh and last longer.
